  • IS IOP RIGHT FOR YOUR TEEN?

Below are some inclusion criteria outlining the requirements for participation in our program, offering insight into what is needed for IOP.

    Age 11 – 17

While our primary focus is on adolescent IOP, we welcome children as young as 11 years old into our program.

    Active Psychiatric Diagnosis

The adolescent presents with a current diagnosis warranting therapeutic interventions.

Risk to Self or Others without an Active Plan

The adolescent exhibits risk factors such as suicidal ideation without active planning or intent, as well as risk-taking behaviors, impaired judgment, and challenges in daily functioning. While not necessitating 24-hour supervision, they require intensive structure and supervision.

In Less Restrictive Care, but Symptoms Increasing

The adolescent is currently in a lower level of care and showing heightened symptoms, leading to reduced functioning at home, school, and/or within the community.

Stepping Down from Higher Level of Care

The adolescent is transitioning from a partial hospitalization program, residential program, or hospitalization to a lower level of care.

Cannot be Safely Treated at Lower Level of Care

The adolescent’s treatment needs cannot be safely or effectively met at a lower level of care.
