Ashley Lilly is a Licensed Master Social Worker in Maryland and a graduate of Liberty University. As a military spouse, Ashley understands the unique pressures that transitions, uncertainty, and changing family responsibilities can place on individuals and families. She has experience supporting vulnerable youth and their families and is passionate about working with children, adolescents, adults, and families as they navigate emotional, behavioral, and relationship challenges.

After witnessing the pain and challenges experienced by people in my community, I felt called to become someone who could offer support, encouragement, and hope. I recognize that everyone faces difficult seasons, and many people carry the effects of trauma, stress, loss, or overwhelming life experiences. My goal is to meet you with compassion and help you move toward the life you want for yourself.

I believe therapy should be a collaborative and supportive process. You are the expert on your own experiences, values, and goals. My role is to listen, help you recognize your strengths, and provide evidence-based tools that can support your growth. Because becoming the “best version” of yourself looks different for every person, we will work together to define what healing, progress, and fulfillment mean to you.

My approach is client-centered and incorporates techniques from Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Together, we may explore how your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and life experiences influence one another. We will identify patterns that may be contributing to distress while also recognizing the strengths and coping skills you already possess.

Through our work, you can develop practical strategies for managing intense emotions, communicating more effectively, navigating stressful situations, and responding to challenges with greater confidence. We may also use mindfulness techniques to help you remain grounded, increase self-awareness, and feel more in control when emotions become overwhelming.

I understand that beginning therapy can feel like a significant step. You do not need to have all the answers or know exactly where to begin. I will meet you where you are, support you at a pace that feels comfortable, and celebrate the progress you make along the way. My hope is that our work together will help you build resilience, strengthen your relationships, and create a foundation for lasting emotional well-being.
